first impression: irritated, cocky & nearly impossible to impress
actually: curious, witty & considerably friendlier than they look
communication style: blunt, fast & sarcastic, loves playful arguments and will occasionally argue a position they don't even believe in just because the conversation is interesting

around friends: extremely teasing, expressive & playful, constantly uses their scarf to bother people, steal objects out of their hands or dramatically gesture during conversations
around strangers: skeptical & somewhat guarded, usually observes someone for a while before deciding whether they seem interesting
when stressed: becomes snappy and restless, their antennae flatten back while the ends of their scarf curl tightly around their body almost like a protective cocoon

greatest fear: becoming trapped somewhere completely unable to communicate
biggest insecurity: worries that no matter how long they live in Sparkleland, part of them will always be considered an outsider
sensitive about: invasive questions about their species or homeworld
comforts: warm rooms, their scarf wrapped around them & Virelli food

common mannerisms: uses their scarf almost as much as their hands while talking, one end may point at someone while the other grabs an object or emphasizes whatever Iwis is saying
nervous habit: twists the ends of their scarf around each other or wraps them tightly around their torso
way of showing affection: relentless teasing, wrapping one end of their scarf loosely around someone they're especially comfortable with
what they do when bored: tinkering with audio equipment

Iwis's scarf is magically bonded to them, both ends of the scarf can be controlled independently, essentially functioning as two additional arms. It moves entirely through Iwis's magical control. Iwis can feel the general position and movement of the scarf without looking at it, similar to knowing where one of your limbs is with your eyes closed.
